Job Title: Infrastructure Service Owner Location: 100% Remote (U.S.) Position Type: Contract Experience Required: 6+ years Job Description: Role Overview Client is seeking for an IT Infrastructure Service Owner for a six-month contract assignment. This role supports the day-to-day ownership, performance, and continuous improvement of assigned infrastructure services. The contractor will coordinate across engineering, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders to help ensure reliable, scalable, and cost-effective service delivery.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. * 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure Service Management, Capacity Management, Infrastructure Operations, Technical Product Management, Technical Program Management, or related areas. * Demonstrated experience with enterprise infrastructure capacity planning and forecasting. * Strong understanding of compute, virtualization, storage, network, data center, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure technologies. * Experience analyzing utilization, consumption, demand, growth trends, and infrastructure constraints. * Experience managing enterprise technology services, platforms, or infrastructure programs. * Strong requirements gathering, stakeholder-management, service-governance, and roadmap-development skills. * Ability to translate technical capacity information into clear business and executive recommendations. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, presentation, and communication skills. * Ability to influence decisions and drive outcomes in a matrixed enterprise environment without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience as an Infrastructure Capacity Manager, Technical Product Owner, or Infrastructure Service Delivery Manager. * Experience with ITIL Capacity and Performance Management practices; ITIL Foundation or higher certification is preferred. * Agile, Scrum, Product Owner, or Business Analysis experience or certification. * Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, Power BI, or comparable platforms. * Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), VMware, or hybrid infrastructure environments. * Understanding cloud capacity planning and FinOps or cloud cost-optimization principles. * Experience with infrastructure monitoring, observability, capacity analytics, or performance-management platforms. * Exposure to data center planning, hardware lifecycle management, technology debt, EOL/EOS management, and infrastructure modernization. * Experience supporting high-growth, AI/ML, or data-intensive workloads is desirable.
