About the role

We are an established digital entertainment company specializing in creator-led content, storytelling, and audience engagement across multiple platforms. Our focus is creating engaging entertainment experiences while building meaningful, lasting relationships with our audience.

About the Job

We are seeking a Creator PR & Reputation Lead to develop, manage, and strengthen the public reputation of a high-profile digital creator, their associated brands, and an established digital entertainment company. This role is ideal for someone experienced in creator, talent, actor, or entertainment PR who understands online fandoms, social media culture, and the unique reputation challenges surrounding highly visible creators.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this individual will work closely with the Founders, Marketing, HR, and leadership to anticipate reputation risks, prepare for potential crises, strengthen fan trust, and grow positive awareness of the creator and associated brands.

This position is based in Austin, Texas. Occasional evening and weekend availability is required during time-sensitive PR situations.

What You'll Do

* Own day-to-day PR, reputation management, and crisis communications for a high-profile digital creator and their associated brands.  * Monitor social media, fan communities, reviews, press, and online conversations to identify emerging criticism, misinformation, misleading or inaccurate narratives, and potential reputation risks before they escalate. * Develop proactive crisis and reputation plans, including response strategies, holding statements, talking points, FAQs, escalation procedures, and guidance on when and how to respond. * Work directly with the creator and senior leadership to deeply understand the brand, history, voice, values, audience, sensitivities, and long-term vision. * Gather knowledge from the Founders and leadership to build and maintain an internal PR & Reputation Brand Guide covering messaging pillars, communication standards, creator’s preferences, sensitive topics, known risks, and clear dos and don'ts. * Serve as a trusted PR advisor to the Head of Marketing, Founders, HR, and leadership on public statements, announcements, interviews, partnerships, appearances, social conversations, and reputation-sensitive decisions. * Develop proactive PR initiatives that increase positive awareness and conversation around the creator and associated brands, rather than only responding when issues arise. * Identify opportunities to highlight fan appreciation, charitable efforts, community involvement, creator accomplishments, company initiatives, and positive impact through social, digital, creator, and press channels. * Keep the fan perspective at the center of communication strategies while thoughtfully supporting the Founders, artists, employees, and company.

What We're Looking For

* 4–6+ years of experience in public relations, talent publicity, reputation management, crisis communications, or entertainment communications. * Direct experience working with digital creators, actors, public figures, entertainment brands, gaming, or digital media strongly preferred. * Strong understanding of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Reddit, Discord, online fandoms, and creator culture. * Experience navigating social media crises, public criticism, misinformation, sensitive topics, and reputation-related issues. * Strong ability to distinguish legitimate fan concerns, emerging reputation risks, and misinformation. * Exceptional writing, communication, judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills. * Comfortable working directly with high-profile digital creators and senior leadership, and providing clear recommendations during sensitive situations. * Highly proactive and able to anticipate potential problems, gather information, and build systems and strategies before issues arise. * A fan-first mindset with an understanding of how long-term community trust contributes to a creator's reputation and brand. * Ability to provide occasional evening and weekend support during time-sensitive PR situations.

What We Offer

* Excellent Medical, Dental and Vision health benefits * 401(k) contribution * Flexible time off * Lunch, snacks and drinks provided in the office * Pets in the office once a month * Onsite fitness center * Learning Stipend * Relocation assistance for those coming from outside Austin
