Pay: $115,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year

Location: Remote role in either Providence, Rhode Island, or Boston, Massachusetts.
Note: Candidates must have an active Rhode Island law license and 3+ years of insurance defense and/or litigation experience.

Job Description
* Handle litigation matters from pleadings through discovery, motion practice, and resolution * Draft motions, briefs, legal memoranda, pleadings, and discovery responses * Take and defend depositions * Appear in court and work directly with clients * Conduct legal research, analyze case facts, and develop litigation strategy * Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and the court * Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as needed * Collaborate with experienced attorneys and strong support staff on active matters * Defend a variety of civil litigation matters including general liability, personal injury, construction defect, commercial trucking, and employment-related claims
Qualifications
* J.D. required * Active Rhode Island bar admission required * 3+ years of insurance defense and/or litigation experience * Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills * Experience drafting motions and other legal memoranda * Experience with discovery, depositions, and court appearances * Able to manage cases independently while working well as part of a team * Active Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Connecticut bar admission is a plus * Ability to transfer UBE score is a plus * Employment law, construction defect, and/or commercial trucking experience is a plus
