The ideal candidate is comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and understands the importance of cleanliness, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Qualifications include:

* Knowledge of basic animal care, cleaning, and disinfecting methods, or the willingness to learn. * Ability to safely and properly handle and restrain animals of different sizes and temperaments. * Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products safely and efficiently. * Physical ability to perform moderately heavy work, including lifting and moving large dogs, bags of pet food, litter, and other supplies. * Patience and compassion when caring for sick, scared, injured, or recovering animals. * Ability and willingness to learn medication administration, recognize abnormal conditions, and report changes in patient behavior or health. * Strong attention to detail when following veterinary care instructions and maintaining patient records. * Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. * A positive, cooperative attitude and the ability to work well with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, and other team members.

* Dependability, flexibility, and a willingness to help wherever needed to support the veterinary team.

Previous experience in a veterinary hospital, kennel, animal boarding facility, or other animal care setting is a plus, but a compassionate attitude and willingness to learn are just as important!
