About the role
Sentry Force Security is seeking a dependable and professional Security Dispatcher to join our team in the Hampton Roads area. The Security Dispatcher will serve as a central point of communication between security officers, supervisors, management, clients, and emergency services.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and respond to radio and telephone communications. * Dispatch security officers to incidents, calls for service, and assigned locations. * Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation. * Monitor officer activity and status throughout assigned shifts. * Receive and relay information quickly and accurately. * Communicate with supervisors and management regarding incidents and operational concerns. * Assist with emergency response and notification procedures. * Monitor security systems, cameras, alarms, and access control systems as assigned. * Maintain confidentiality of company, client, and security-related information. * Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous dispatch, security, military, law enforcement, customer service, or related experience preferred. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations. * Ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities. * Basic computer skills and ability to learn security-related software. * Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills. * Must be dependable and able to work independently. * Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
Preferred Experience
* Security dispatch or command center experience. * Experience with two-way radios. * CCTV/video monitoring experience. * Alarm monitoring or access control experience. * Experience working in a security operations center or control room.
Schedule
Full-time and part-time positions may be available. Various shifts, including overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage.
