About the role
Job Description
* Install and maintain workstation systems, servers, and network components. * Implement configuration specifications for systems and user interfaces. * Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues effectively. * Initiate escalation procedures for unresolved problems. * Coordinate vendor and consultant activities to ensure smooth operations. * Monitor and track hardware, software, and network availability and inventory. * Develop and maintain operations manuals, instructions, and checklists. * Assist users with procurement projects and solution implementations. * Create simple scripts and applications for user needs on workstations and mobile devices. * Act as a senior operational coordinator, supporting team priorities and providing guidance in the manager’s absence.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, or Vocational Training (apprenticeship). * Proven 4+ years of experience in a similar senior IT role in a mid- to large-sized company (150+ users). * Experience managing third-party services. * Strong operational skills in fast-paced environments. * Excellent customer-facing and communication skills. * Knowledge of ITIL and process improvement methodologies. * Assertive, independent, and methodical work style. * Proactive thinker with strong analytical skills. * Ability to coordinate and guide team members without formal line management responsibility. * Fluent in English with good German language knowledge.
