About the role

Senior Regional Director of Sales & Enrollment

Department: Sales & Business Development Reports To: VP of Sales / CRO Position Type: Full-Time

Equity Opportunity: After 20+ years of bootstrapping, Altius is moving into a period of outside investment and growth; genuine opportunities for equity participation exist for company-leading team members.

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven, consultative senior inside sales executive to drive revenue growth by selling premium, high-ticket MCAT preparation services to premedical students at universities and colleges. This individual will play a critical role in helping aspiring medical students identify the right preparation solutions to achieve their academic and professional goals while delivering an exceptional, personalized sales experience.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished sales professional who excels at building trust, conducting consultative sales conversations, managing a high-value sales pipeline, and consistently converting qualified prospects into customers. This role combines direct sales execution with strategic relationship development, campus-based marketing initiatives, and leadership of junior business development representatives.

The Senior Inside Sales Representative will conduct advising and enrollment appointments with prospective students, including appointments they independently generate and appointments scheduled by the business development team. In addition, this individual will cultivate relationships with premedical advisors and other university stakeholders, coordinate marketing events, and mentor junior team members to strengthen overall sales performance and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Consultative Sales & Revenue Generation

* Drive sales of premium MCAT preparation programs and related educational services to premedical students through a consultative, student-focused sales approach. * Conduct scheduled advising and enrollment appointments with prospective students, including self-generated appointments and appointments booked by the business development team. * Identify students’ academic goals, MCAT timelines, preparation challenges, learning preferences, and individual needs to recommend appropriate solutions. * Clearly communicate program value, service differentiators, pricing, and expected benefits while aligning recommendations with each student’s goals and circumstances. * Build trust and rapport with prospective students and, when appropriate, their families or other decision-makers. * Confidently manage objections, navigate purchasing decisions, negotiate within established guidelines, and close sales. * Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects throughout the sales cycle to maximize conversion rates and minimize lost opportunities. * Meet or exceed established revenue, enrollment, conversion, and individual sales activity targets. * Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, pipeline stages, forecasts, and sales outcomes within the company’s CRM (Hubspot).

2. University & Stakeholder Relationship Development

* Establish and maintain productive relationships with premedical advisors, pre-health program directors, student organization leaders, faculty members, and other relevant university stakeholders. * Develop campus partnerships that increase brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and create opportunities to engage prospective MCAT students. * Serve as a professional representative of the organization in university settings, demonstrating a strong understanding of the premedical student experience and the MCAT preparation landscape. * Identify opportunities for strategic collaboration with campus organizations, premedical societies, and student support programs. * Build a sustainable network of university contacts to support ongoing lead generation, event participation, and long-term business development.

3. Campus Marketing & Lead Generation Events

* Plan, coordinate, and execute on-campus and virtual marketing events, including informational presentations, MCAT preparation workshops, student organization meetings, and promotional events. * Deliver engaging presentations that educate students about MCAT preparation strategies, program offerings, and the value of structured preparation. * Collaborate with the marketing and business development teams to develop event strategies that generate qualified prospects and advising appointments. * Capture and manage event-generated leads, establish timely follow-up processes, and convert event engagement into measurable sales opportunities. * Evaluate event performance using metrics such as attendance, lead volume, appointment bookings, conversion rates, and resulting revenue. * Continuously refine event formats and outreach strategies to improve engagement and return on investment.

4. Sales Pipeline Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Manage the full sales cycle, from initial consultation and needs assessment through follow-up, enrollment, and closing. * Prioritize and manage a calendar of sales appointments generated through both personal prospecting efforts and business development team support. * Maintain timely communication with prospects before and after appointments to improve attendance, engagement, and conversion. * Coordinate with marketing and business development teams to align outreach campaigns, event activity, and appointment generation with revenue objectives. * Track key performance indicators and provide accurate reporting on sales activity, pipeline health, conversion trends, and revenue forecasts. * Identify bottlenecks in the sales process and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and conversion rates. * Share insights from student conversations and market feedback to inform sales messaging, program positioning, and future marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

* 3+ years of demonstrated success in sales, preferably in consultative inside sales, high-ticket sales, education services, or a related field. * Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and closing high-value transactions. * Experience managing a consultative sales process that requires needs assessment, relationship building, objection handling, and follow-up. * Demonstrated ability to build relationships with external stakeholders and develop productive professional networks. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of appointments, follow-ups, and competing priorities. * Willingness to travel occasionally to university campuses and attend events outside standard business hours, as needed. Roughly 80-90% of our campus marketing events have transitioned to online, reducing historical travel needs significantly.

Preferred (but not required):

* Experience selling test preparation, tutoring, educational technology, or other premium education services. * Familiarity with the medical school admissions process, MCAT preparation, and the premed experience. * Established relationships with university premedical advisors, pre-health offices, or student organizations. * Experience planning or presenting at campus marketing events.

ALTIUS CULTURE

We approach work differently.
