Overnight Supervisor – Dog Daycare & Boarding
Preferred: Dog handling experience, overnight work experience, and/or management experience
Job Summary The Overnight Supervisor oversees all overnight operations of our dog daycare and boarding facility, ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of all dogs in our care. This role supervises staff, manages nightly tasks, and ensures company procedures are followed while working under the Resort Director.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise overnight care for daycare, boarding, bathing, and enrichment programs * Lead and support staff; provide coaching, feedback, and training * Assign staff and coordinate nightly operations to ensure safe, efficient care * Monitor dog health, behavior, feeding, and medication administration * Maintain accurate reports (health, behavior, feeding, shift reports) * Communicate updates and concerns with management and incoming shift leaders * Ensure proper dog group assignments and safe handler-to-dog ratios * Oversee facility cleanliness, safety, and inventory needs * Respond to emergencies and coordinate veterinary care when needed * Maintain positive relationships with team members and pet parents
Requirements
* High school diploma or GED * 6+ months professional dog care experience preferred * 1–2 years customer service experience * Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills * Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Schedule & Availability
* Overnight position * Must be available weekends and holidays * Flexible schedule required
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (indoors/outdoors) * Lift 50–60 lbs regularly * Work in varying weather conditions and a loud environment * Perform cleaning and facility maintenance tasks
Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00
