Position Overview
Sentry Force Security is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Security Officers to provide security services at a State Registration Office. Officers will help maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment for employees, visitors, and members of the public.
This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to remain alert while working in a public-facing government office environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor the facility and maintain a safe, secure environment.
* Control access to designated areas and monitor visitor activity.
* Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
* Conduct security patrols and perform assigned security checks.
* Assist visitors with directions and provide professional customer service.
* Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances.
* Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
* Follow all post orders, company policies, and site-specific procedures.
* Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
* Must possess a valid Virginia DCJS Security Officer registration or meet applicable licensing requirements for the position.
* Must be able to pass the required background screening.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
* Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
* Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
* Previous security or customer service experience preferred.
Work Environment
This position is located in a public-facing state registration office. Officers must be comfortable interacting with the public while maintaining professionalism, enforcing site procedures, and protecting the facility.
