About the role

* Support and maintain global infrastructure services (Operating Systems, Virtualization, Storage, Backup, and Patching) within a transversal team.
* Manage operations and Level 2 & Level 3 troubleshooting and maintenance for infrastructure and security issues.
* Apply security best practices, including system hardening, configuration management, vulnerability mitigation, and security enforcement.
* Implement scripting and automation techniques to standardize, optimize, and control environments.
* Ensure infrastructure reliability and availability through active monitoring, alerting, and service management.
* Oversee and manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and external service providers during major global infrastructure rollouts (Identity, Data Center, and Network programs).
* Collaborate across teams and regions, partnering with Application, Security, Cloud, and Citrix engineering teams.
* Propose and implement new processes and operational methods using ITIL, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
Requisitos mínimos
* Professional Certifications: Microsoft (e.g., MCSA Windows Server), VMware, Linux, Security certifications, or equivalent.
* Alternative Virtualization Technologies: Nutanix or Proxmox.
* Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure or AWS environments.
* Experience: 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer in corporate environments.
* Education: Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
* Core Technical Skills: * Virtualization: VMware or Hyper-V. * Operating Systems: Windows Server and Linux administration. * Storage: Basic to advanced storage infrastructure management. * Security & Tooling: Security best practices, system hardening, and tools such as Qualys. * Scripting & Automation: Powershell, Bash, or Ansible. * Monitoring: Hands-on experience with reliability monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., PRTG, Nagios). * Patching & Maintenance: Familiarity with tools like ManageEngine or WSUS.
* Methodologies & Governance: Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure Service Management, ITIL, Agile, and IT Security policies/regulations.
* Soft Skills & Languages: * Fluent in English (written and verbal communication). * Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and expert technical judgment. * Proactive, collaborative, and capable of working effectively across regional and global teams.
