Job Overview Assignment Description We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to develop social and real-time features for a large-scale consumer application. You will work on user-facing Android features, social experiences and real-time synchronisation while contributing to the underlying architecture and APIs. The role requires a strong focus on performance, network efficiency, battery consumption, scalability and software quality. What You Will Work On Develop social and real-time features for Android applications. Build and improve real-time synchronisation and social workflows. Evolve Android architecture and API design. Optimise application performance, network efficiency and battery usage. Ensure scalability, security, privacy and protection against misuse. Collaborate with Android, iOS and backend engineers, as well as product, design and data science teams. Lead initiatives involving multiple teams and platforms when required.
What You Bring Minimum 8 years of experience in Android development. Deep knowledge of modern Android development and Kotlin. Ability to write clean, idiomatic and maintainable code. Strong understanding of Android architecture, design patterns and API design. Good understanding of mobile applications and backend integrations. Experience with real-time synchronisation and mobile performance optimisation. Experience optimising battery consumption, network usage and application performance. Experience with AI agent tools and agent-based development methods, such as Cursor and Claude. Experience developing applications with strong privacy, security and abuse-prevention requirements.
Meritorious Experience with C++. Experience with iOS development. Experience developing across multiple platforms and codebases.
