We’re seeking a Jewelry Validation Specialist / Cataloger to assess and curate jewelry lots for sale on EBTH digital platforms. This position plays a key role in the Gemology team responsible for evaluating, sorting, authenticating, and accurately cataloging a high volume of estate, fine, and costume jewelry. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

* Strong computer proficiency and tech-savviness; proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets), and proprietary inventory/processing systems. * Skilled in using standard gemological tools including loupes, millimeter gauges, ring sizers, carat/gram scales, calipers, and rulers. * Ability to work swiftly and accurately under tight production timelines while maintaining high attention to detail. * A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, goal-driven auction production environment. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills across teams and departments.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Strong computer proficiency and tech-savviness; proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets), and proprietary inventory/processing systems. * High school diploma or equivalent required; higher-level degree or coursework in auction, Gemology (e.g., GIA coursework), or related fields preferred. * 2+ years of hands-on experience working with jewelry, estate sales, auction houses, or retail jewelry evaluation. * Demonstrated familiarity with vintage, antique, and contemporary fine/costume jewelry makers, hallmarks, and historical periods. * Strong foundational knowledge of precious metals (gold, platinum, silver) and common base metals/plating techniques. * Experience or comfort learning to operate specialized testing equipment (e.g., XRF analyzers).
