Job Description
SOCOTEC has an opening for a Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer or Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah.
* Assist with marketing and business development * Prepare geotechnical proposals, including scopes of services and proposed fees * Respond to technical questions for project solicitations * Manage geotechnical projects * Evaluate geologic and seismic hazards * Prepare geotechnical evaluation reports * Maintain client relationships * Work directly with clients to assure successful project completion * Provide direction and review engineering work products prepared by others * Provide technical support and mentorship to junior staff
Qualifications
Education
* B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required * M.S. in related field preferred
Required Skills & Experience
* Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) * Minimum 10+ years of experience in the geotechnical industry performing the duties described above * Thorough understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering * Geophysical and environmental experience is an additional asset * Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills * Detail-oriented, team player * Ability to work and meet deadlines under time pressure
