What you'll do

* Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and product demonstrations to negotiation and closing

* Build relationships with local merchants, understanding their needs and recommending the right SumUp solutions

* Develop your own pipeline and identify new opportunities across Manchester and the surrounding area

* Use our Manchester United partnership, including opportunities to invite merchants to matches, to strengthen commercial relationships

* Manage your targets and pipeline while collaborating with our wider London sales team

You'll be great for this role if…

* 1–2 years of outbound B2B sales or business development experience

* Confidence generating your own opportunities and closing new business

* Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with business owners

* Comfortable combining phone-based prospecting with in-person customer meetings

* Independence, commercial curiosity and a results-driven mindset

* Bonus: Previous field sales experience or exposure to payments, fintech, SaaS or hospitality

How you'll work

* 3 days in the field: Meeting merchants and developing business across Manchester

* 1 day from home: Prospecting, managing your pipeline and following up with customers

* 1 day in London: Working alongside our sales team, with travel expenses covered

Initial onboarding will take place in London for approximately 1–2 weeks, with expenses covered by SumUp.
