We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable team member who enjoys working with students and celebrating their progress. Join a team that values your contributions, supports your professional growth, and understands the importance of work-life balance.

Why Choose Candor?

* Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance options for eligible employees.

* Retirement Savings: A 401(k) plan with matching contributions.

* Professional Growth: Mentorship opportunities and reimbursement for professional development.

* Referral Bonuses: Earn up to $1,000 for referring great talent to our team.

* A Collaborative Team: Work alongside educators and specialists who share your commitment to student success.

How You’ll Make an Impact

* Support Student Learning: Provide individual and small-group assistance to reinforce teacher-planned lessons, practice skills, and help students engage in classroom activities.

* Help Implement Individualized Supports: Assist with accommodations, instructional supports, and classroom strategies outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), as directed by the teacher.

* Encourage Positive Behavior: Follow established behavior support plans and use teacher-directed strategies to help students participate safely and successfully.

* Build Independence: Support students with classroom routines, organization, transitions, communication, and peer interactions while encouraging them to use and strengthen their skills.

* Assist With Daily Needs: Provide personal care or mobility assistance when required by the assignment, following student plans, appropriate training, and school procedures.

* Share Helpful Observations: Record student performance and behavior information as directed, communicate observations to the teacher, and maintain student confidentiality.

* Keep Learning on Track: Help prepare instructional materials, organize classroom resources, and supervise students during assigned activities and transitions.

What You’ll Bring

* Education: A high school diploma or equivalent.

* Qualifications: Meet the district’s paraprofessional requirements, including Texas Educational Aide certification and Title I qualifications when applicable.

* Experience: Experience working with children or students; experience supporting students with disabilities is preferred.

* A Supportive Approach: Patience, dependability, clear communication, and a commitment to treating every student with dignity and respect.

* Teamwork: The ability to follow instructional plans, accept guidance, and collaborate with teachers and other school professionals.

* Language Skills: Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
