What You'll Do:
* Prepare and cook a variety of foods in accordance with planned menus, dietary requirements, and safety standards * Operate kitchen equipment * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area * Assist with food storage and inventory * Support special functions and events * Work collaboratively with the dining services team to ensure quality service * Uphold a safe, efficient, and customer-focused kitchen environment
What You'll Need:
* High school graduate or equivalent (required) * Active ServeSafe/Food Safety Managers Certification, or ability to obtain one within 45 days of hire (required) * Must be 18 years of age to operate potentially hazardous equipment (required) * 2 years of institutional cooking in long-term care or assisted living (required) * Institutional cooking, along with a fine dining experience, is preferred
