About the role
Midsouth Steel, a leader in the erection and fabrication of structural and miscellaneous steel has an immediate need for a Maintenance Assistant. This is a full-time, direct hire position offering great benefits and opportunity for advancement.
Hours M-F 7a-3:30p Location: ON SITE
Job duties will entail.
Assisting Lead Maintenance Tech with all of his duties including: * Troubleshooting machinery. * Low Voltage electrical work. * Holding ladders. * Carrying materials. * Learning from Lead Tech on the job.
Ideal candidate will have: * Good mechanical and electrical aptitude. * Punctuality and dependability. * Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. * Must be able to read a tape measure. * Good computer skills. * Willingness to learn. * Knowledge of safety fundamentals.
