About the role

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Test Engineer to provide Agile DevOps support to mission-critical systems requiring a Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph. In this role you will collaborate with Product Owners, Development Teams, Architects, and QA Managers to design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test strategies that support mission objectives and product requirements. You will practice a SAFe Agile workflow by participating in daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. You will review and implement test requirements, support test case execution, and contribute to release validation activities. Applying testing methodologies and troubleshooting experience, you will identify defects, maintain test automation frameworks, participate in test plan reviews, and document test results and quality metrics. You will also help ensure overall system code coverage remains above 80% while supporting software quality, performance, and continuous improvement through rigorous testing practices.

Required Skills/Experience:

* DevOps practices applied to develop, maintain, and continuously improve test automation assets, including configuration control, traceability, and repeatability * Jira and Confluence used to manage requirements, tasks, test artifacts, and project documentation * Software development, testing, and integration activities within cloud development environments * SAFe Agile participation including daily standups, sprint reviews, and functional testing * Collaboration with Product Owners, Software Developers, and QA Teams to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of regression testing * Creation, maintenance, and evaluation of automated test suites to validate application functionality and improve test coverage * Execution and documentation of testing activities for Jira-tracked development efforts * Analysis of testing results with actionable feedback provided to development teams * Testing within commercial cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and OpenShift with DevOps tooling * Testing of both back-end and front-end application processes * Scripting with Python or similar languages to automate tasks * CI Pipeline test execution including JEST, Cypress, and/or Playwright * Software performance testing practices * Creation, authoring, execution, and documentation of test cases and result sets in an Agile cadence

Preferred Skills/Experience:

* Tracking test failures back to code changes that introduced defects * Reviewing code check-ins to assess the impact of changes on system functionality and potential bugs * Software development or integration experience in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web Services) or virtualization environment * Unit testing, continuous integration tools, and Git version control * SQL queries and database analysis techniques to validate application data, investigate defects, and ensure data integrity * DoD Aeronautical Datasets * AWS CloudFormation templates * Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree with relevant experience, or Master's degree with relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree * DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 or Level 3 certification compliance (e.g., Security+) * Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI and CI Polygraph
