About the role

Connexus Hub, Inc. | Fort Knox, KY | Full-time, exempt | Key personnel | Contingent on contract award

Salary: $58,000 to $68,000 a year, depending on experience Location: Army Continuing Education Division, Building 1109B, Fort Knox, KY 40121 Schedule: Hybrid, on site at Fort Knox on a set schedule and teleworking the rest, Monday through Friday within 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern core hours. You must live within commuting distance of Fort Knox.

About the role

Connexus Hub is building the team for an anticipated U.S. Army contract supporting the Army Continuing Education Division (ACED) at Human Resources Command, Fort Knox. ACED runs the education benefits that Soldiers, Cadets and Army Civilians use to go to college and earn credentials: Tuition Assistance and Credentialing Assistance through ArmyIgnitED, Army Personnel Testing, and the Joint Services Transcript that turns military training into college credit. Performance is expected to begin in March 2027. We are interviewing now.

Colleges send money back to the Army when a Soldier drops a class or a payment was wrong. About 4,500 refund and recoupment checks a year come into ACED, and each one has to be researched, matched to the right fiscal year and line of accounting, and either processed or returned before it goes stale. You lead the team that does that and you carry the hard cases yourself.

What you will do

* Lead the tuition refund team and set the daily work so every check is logged on the Government tracker within three business days of receipt. * Research why each refund came in, confirm the amount, and check ArmyIgnitED for portal refunds, recoupments or waivers that would block processing. * Verify the original payment method and line of accounting, and match each refund to the correct fiscal year and Army component, at 98% accuracy or better. * Write research findings and recommended actions for the Government's refund lead, within the 7- and 25-day timelines. * Prepare DD 1131 cash collection vouchers in ArmyIgnitED, route them for signature, and draft return memos for checks that cannot be processed. * Run standard ArmyIgnitED reports to validate invoices, add counseling notes to Soldier records, and keep files on the approved naming convention. * Recommend SOP changes and report results monthly.

What you need

* An associate's degree or at least 60 semester hours of college. * Two years of experience in accounts receivable, payment reconciliation, tuition or student account processing, or Government financial transaction work. * Accuracy with numbers and a habit of documenting why you made a call. * Proficiency in Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro. * Ability to work on site at Fort Knox on a set schedule. * Ability to pass an FBI fingerprint check and a Tier 1 (NACI) background investigation and obtain a Common Access Card. No security clearance is required.

A strong plus

* Experience with Army Tuition Assistance, ArmyIgnitED, GFEBS or DFAS processes. * Experience leading or training a small team.

Key personnel: This is a named position in our proposal. We need your resume and a signed letter of intent confirming your availability by 13 November 2026.

Connexus Hub, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. This position is contingent on award of the anticipated contract.

Compensation: $58,000 - $68,000 per year, DOE
