Position Overview:

Citi is looking for a Director of Demand, Delivery, and Transformation to lead the strategic direction and operational execution of technology planning across a large, complex business unit. In this senior leadership role, you will function as a high-level delivery manager — bridging application managers, finance, and business leadership to shape and deliver a technology agenda that drives measurable outcomes across operations and compliance. This is a high-impact position that carries full accountability for capacity planning and delivery at scale.

Responsibilities:

* Lead the development and execution of the business plan, ensuring technology goals are directly aligned to the strategic priorities of the wider organization.

* Partner with senior tech and business leaders to coordinate the prioritization, planning, and delivery of a value-driven technology book of work — balancing regulatory urgency, business growth, and risk reduction.

* Assist in defining and driving the technology transformation roadmap, including the transition from legacy systems to cloud-native, API-first microservices architectures and the simplification of the application portfolio.

* Oversee the adoption of automated compliance and delivery practices, including policy-as-code frameworks, automated release gates, and continuous audit readiness across the delivery lifecycle.

* Leverage delivery performance data — including deployment frequency, lead time for changes, and defect metrics — to identify bottlenecks, forecast delivery risks, and drive continuous improvement.

* Manage a multi-team organization through direct people leadership, including performance management, hiring, budget ownership, and the ongoing development of team capabilities.

* Collaborate with Finance and Human Resources to represent the resource and cost implications of the technology agenda, ensuring plans are both strategically sound and financially viable.

* Monitor and assess risk across all areas of responsibility, ensuring decisions reflect sound judgment and adhere to Citi's standards for conduct, policy compliance, and control escalation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

* 15 or more years of experience in technology planning, with a track record of managing business, functional, and people responsibilities.

* Demonstrated ability to manage multi-team organizations, including full accountability for performance, budget, hiring, and direction.

* Experience developing and executing technology business plans in close collaboration with functional stakeholders.

* Solid understanding of budget management and financial planning within a technology context, including the ability to model and communicate cost and resource impact.

* Competence in risk and control management, with the ability to assess decisions against regulatory and policy requirements and escalate issues appropriately.

* Skilled communicator and negotiator, able to engage, influence, and align senior internal and external stakeholders across complex organizations.

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent university-level qualification.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications:

* Master's degree in a relevant field such as Technology, Business Administration, or Engineering.

* Exposure to data-driven delivery frameworks such as DORA metrics, quality analytics, or predictive delivery modelling.

* Experience leading organizational capability-building programs, such as upskilling initiatives or transitions to agile delivery models.

What We Offer:

Joining Citi means stepping into a role where your decisions shape technology transformation at a global scale. You will work at the intersection of business, technology, and delivery — leading teams that are actively modernizing how a leading financial institution plans, builds, and releases technology. This is an environment built on performance, collaboration, and the pursuit of meaningful outcomes.

* A hybrid working model offering 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely, providing flexibility while maintaining strong team connection.

* Strategic influence over a large-scale technology transformation agenda, including cloud-native migration, automated compliance delivery, and portfolio simplification.

* The opportunity to lead within a data-driven delivery culture, where DORA metrics, quality analytics, and predictive insights inform real decisions at every level.

* Access to continuous learning and professional development, including support for transitioning teams toward modern delivery practices such as Agile and Quality Engineering.

* A senior leadership platform with full ownership of people, budget, and strategic outcomes — with direct visibility to Citi's most senior technology leaders.

* Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package reflective of the seniority and scope of the role, including financial wellbeing and family support provisions.

* The chance to work within a globally connected organization, collaborating across technology, operations, compliance, finance, and human resources functions.

Apply now to take ownership of a technology transformation that is reshaping how a global financial institution delivers at scale.
