Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the EHS center’s kitchen and for all meal preparation, ensuring full compliance with the State Food Program’s regulations and required paperwork.
Core Competencies:
* Ability to plan, develop and execute meal plans * General understanding of the nutritional needs of young children * Proficient in basic math skills and cooking unit measurements/conversions * Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills * Demonstrated self-initiative and adaptability * Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of staff and families * Good organizational skills and attention to detail * Proficient in basic computer skills
Job Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent Childhood Development, or related field, is preferred. * Experience in food preparation for large groups are required * Experience working with the State Food Program is strongly preferred.
