About the role

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the product direction for the AI & Query Platform team, the team responsible for advancing Nucleus’s AI and query capabilities.

This role sits at the intersection of AI, data, analytics, and cybersecurity. You’ll own products that change how users interact with security data, from querying and exploring complex datasets to using natural language and AI agents to accomplish increasingly sophisticated agentic workflows.

You’ll work closely with engineering and design to determine what we build, why we build it, and how foundational capabilities become intuitive, valuable customer experiences.

What you’ll own

* Product strategy and roadmap for the AI & Query Platform team.

* The evolution of our query and data exploration capabilities.

* AI-powered experiences and agent capabilities.

* Core AI platform capabilities to be reused across the broader Nucleus platform.

* Discovery and prioritization of new AI, analytics, and data-driven customer use cases.

* Product requirements and tradeoffs across usability, performance, reliability, flexibility, and technical complexity.

* Early-access and customer feedback programs that help us validate new capabilities before broader rollout.

* Success measures for AI and query capabilities and the feedback loops needed to continuously improve them.

What you’ll do

* Develop a deep understanding of how security teams work with vulnerability and exposure data and identify opportunities where AI and better data interaction can fundamentally improve those workflows.

* Partner closely with engineers on APIs, datasets, schemas, query capabilities, agent tools, and other platform primitives.

* Translate technical capabilities into product experiences customers can understand and use.

* Take ambiguous ideas from discovery through definition, validation, delivery, and adoption.

* Determine when we should build a specific customer experience versus a reusable platform capability.

* Define and evaluate the quality of AI-powered experiences, including cases where traditional deterministic acceptance criteria aren’t sufficient.

* Work directly with customers and internal teams to understand problems, validate solutions, and prioritize investments.

* Maintain a clear roadmap while adapting quickly as AI technology, customer expectations, and the cybersecurity market evolve.

* Communicate product direction and tradeoffs clearly across engineering, design, go-to-market teams, and leadership.

What we’re looking for

* 5+ years of product management experience, with meaningful ownership of a technical B2B or enterprise software product.

* Experience shipping AI/LLM-powered, data, analytics, search, query, developer-platform, or similarly technical products.

* Strong technical fluency. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable working closely with engineers on APIs, schemas, datasets, query behavior, integrations, and system capabilities.

* Experience taking technically sophisticated capabilities and turning them into intuitive product experiences.

* Strong product judgment and the ability to prioritize based on customer value rather than technical novelty.

* Experience operating in ambiguous problem spaces where both the technology and customer expectations are changing quickly.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to explain complex technical concepts simply.

* A demonstrated ability to work directly with customers and translate customer problems into product opportunities.

We’d be especially excited if you have

* Experience building AI agents, copilots, natural-language interfaces, or LLM-powered enterprise applications.

* Experience with SQL, query languages, analytics platforms, search products, or data visualization.

* Experience building platform functionality consumed by multiple product teams.

* Experience defining evaluation or quality frameworks for nondeterministic AI functionality.

* Familiarity with modern agent concepts such as tool or function calling, retrieval, context management, agent orchestration, or MCP.

* Cybersecurity, vulnerability management, exposure management, or security analytics experience.

A candid note about the role

This role will get technical. You won’t be expected to write production code, but you will regularly work with engineers on datasets, schemas, APIs, query behavior, agent tools, and AI system behavior. You should enjoy getting into those details while remaining focused on the customer problem we’re solving.

Why You Should Be Excited

* 100% company-paid health, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance options * Generous 401k contribution (not a match) * Flexible PTO + 10 company holidays * Equity in a high-growth, VC-backed startup * Fantastic company culture * Work on a truly unique, market- defining product

Additional Information At Nucleus we are committed to achieving excellence in our field by combining diversity, collaboration, teamwork, and pride in our work. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability.
