Program Dates: 11-2- 2026 to 12-18-2026 Schedule: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM or 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Days: Monday - Friday Grade Levels: 1st-3rd and 7th-8th grade
Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic and engaging Cheer & Hip Hop Instructor to lead an after-school enrichment program for elementary students. The instructor will introduce students to basic cheerleading and hip hop dance techniques while promoting teamwork, confidence, creativity, and physical fitness in a fun and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
* Plan and lead age-appropriate cheer and hip hop dance lessons for K–6 students * Teach basic choreography, rhythm, coordination, and movement skills * Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning atmosphere * Maintain student engagement and manage classroom behavior appropriately * Prepare simple routines that may be showcased at the end of the program * Communicate professionally with school staff and program coordinators * Ensure student safety at all times
Qualifications
* Experience teaching or performing cheer, hip hop, or dance (youth experience preferred) * Ability to work with elementary-aged children * High energy, patience, and strong classroom management skills * Reliable, punctual, and professional * Must be able to pass required background checks
Preferred Skills
* Prior after-school or youth program instruction experience * Ability to adapt instruction for mixed age and skill levels * Strong communication and leadership skills
