About the role

AvaMed Workforce is hiring a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) for a day-shift contract at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, CA (Medical, 8-hour shifts).

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

* Location: Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility (RJD), San Diego, CA * Dates: 11/30/2026 - 03/28/2027 (4 months) * Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (8-hour shifts, 30-min meal) * Orientation: 2 weeks * Pay: Contact us for details

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide nursing and psychiatric care to incarcerated patients * Give medications and treatments and document care accurately * Follow all safety, security and contraband procedures

REQUIREMENTS

* Active California LPT license (BVNPT) * Current BLS (AHA) * Correctional or behavioral health experience preferred * Background check and facility security clearance * TB test, immunizations and facility health clearances
