Job Description

The Capacity Optimization Project Manager is a highly fluid, travel-heavy role designed to support global deployment volumes across warehouse operations. Operating as an operations-focused central point of contact with a regional focus (East or West), you will travel continuously (up to 50%) across your assigned territory to support dynamic site capacity needs and on-site facility launches. In this capacity, you will help manage and execute warehouse turn-ups, facility turndowns, 3PL swaps, and building transfers. Driving an administrative approach centered on our centralized tracking repository and site audit support, you will guide 3PL partners toward the 'path to green' with disciplined, standardized execution.

Top Daily Responsibilities:

1. Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day business operations during site turn-ups, resolving roadblocks and guiding 3PL execution without dictating labor planning or finance. 2. Facilitate execution of complex turn-up projects using a centralized project management platform/tool playbook, tracking L1/L2 milestones and ensuring task completion across over 650 granular steps. 3. Investigate, route, and resolve administrative tasks and system bugs (such as Fluxx workflow issues), ensuring operational workflows remain unblocked. 4. Generate automated status updates and executive summaries using API-connected reporting engines to provide stakeholders with regional risk roll-ups. 5. Identify trends between start-ups and help escalate risk before things potential issues become big problems by applying a proactive approach to execution & project management.

Issue Management, Reporting & Escalation

* Actively surface operational risks and upstream blockers during new facility implementations. * Oversee the administrative upkeep of project trackers, fixing broken work instruction links, clearing legacy workflow items, and correcting incorrectly routed bug queues. * Manage location code setups (such as sourcing and facility locations) and resolve related logistics and workflow requirements. * Utilize capacity management dashboards to deliver actionable regional roll-ups and snapshot reports to leadership. * Quickly & succinctly escalate potential and current problems with excellent verbal and written communication.

Continuous Improvement & Projects

* Working as part of a unified team (East and West) and partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive rigorous standardization, you will administer and continuously refine the project management platform/tool turn-up playbook, leveraging change management features to implement universal task updates. * Consolidate scattered processes into a single source of truth, ensuring new technology and logistics functions are accurately mapped as workflow predecessors. * Perform feasibility checks for timeline viability by calculating backward and forward from estimated site availability dates.

Program Management & Communication

* Represent internal operations teams during 3PL engagements, clearly defining roles, ownership, and LDAP assignments during project initiations. * Establish trust with LOMs by managing day-to-day 3PL communications, ensuring no critical issues are siloed or missed. * Bridge the gap between turn-up teams providing clear, data-driven updates to Google contact.

Qualifications

Experience and Education Requirements:3–5+ years of experience in logistics, large-scale warehouse operations, distribution center turn-ups, or 3PL management.

* Strong working knowledge of project management platforms (specifically Google Sheets), automated reporting engines, API integrations, and workflow ticketing systems (e.g., Fluxx). * Demonstrated ability to thrive in a highly fluid, ambiguous environment, shifting priorities rapidly to meet organizational expansion requirements.

Strong communication & time management skills, with the ability to influence internal and external partners & escalate issues as they arise
