Job Description
As an Associate-Director in the FX & DA Trading department, you will be in charge of the eFX Spot team. Reporting directly to the Head Spot Vice-Director, you will supervise the operational activities and manage people in accordance with your senior management.
Key responsibilities
Team Management:
* Leading and supporting the eFX Spot team: * Fostering a positive work atmosphere where employees feel motivated, valued, and connected to the team and the organization. * Promoting collaboration, trust, and cohesion among team members. * Addressing any potential conflicts among team members to your senior management and/or HR Partner * Supporting employee growth through training, mentorship, coaching, and advancement opportunities. * Hiring: * Leading the recruitment process with your Talent Acquisition Partner * Ensuring new hires are properly introduced to the team, the organization, its culture, policies, and their specific roles. * Performance Management: Setting performance expectations, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues. * Conducting under performance process with the help of your Senior Management and HR Partner.
Operational duties:
* Own the realized risk and PnL * Ensure successful and compliant operations * Monitor orders, trades, overall market conditions, news flow, real-time risk and PnL * Fine-tune price construction, execution and risk management production systems * Monitor the overall client activity and ensure flow quality, as well as smooth client trading experience * Maintain a gainful network of hedging counterparties and market venues * Analyze results, identify and drive improvements * Data analysis: Use internal analytical tools and your own quantitative capabilities to draw data-driven conclusions, suggest actions, deliver reporting * Documentation: maintain up-to-date operational procedures and ensure compliance * Collaborating: Be a reference point for Sales, Software Engineers, IT colleagues and other internal teams * Project Management: Contribute to product development and infrastructure improvements * Monitoring: team’s capacity allocation
Qualifications
* Experience in sell-side electronic FX trading is a must * Previous experience in a leadership role is a strong advantage * Deep understanding of market (micro)structure * Good understanding of client needs and the competition landscape * Proficient in transforming large data sets into actionable insights * Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment * Excellent interpersonal skills, results-oriented, team player * Excellent communication and presentation skills
