About the role
Job Description
* Develop practical optimization and algorithmic solutions for business challenges
* Build and maintain our infrastructure and orchestration pipelines (using AWS Lambda, Batch, Step Functions)
* Ensure services are up and running
* Write efficient Python code
* Manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployments using GitLab and CloudFormation
* Monitor and improve systems proactively
* Mentor junior colleagues
Qualifications
* Strong software engineering background with solid programming fundamentals, and 6+ years of experience in a related domain
* Expert level Python skills
* Good understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns
* Understanding of pipelines and orchestration systems
* Experience in building maintainable, production-grade applications
* Packaging and modularization of software systems
* Experience with cloud services (AWS) and version control (Git)
Soft Skills
* A proactive mindset to not just build, but also monitor, govern, and own the backend and architecture health and reliability.
* Self-driven approach to problem-solving and learning
* The ability to balance long-term clean system design with the immediate need to deliver business value.
Nice to haves
* System design experience
* Experience with optimization problems
* Knowledge in SQL
* Experience in defining roadmap and long term vision
* Team work experience
