About the role
Job Title: Mold Maintenance Technician Classification: Non-Exempt Department: Casting Reports to: Supervisor Position : Days Position Summary: The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for preparing the molds for the Casting line. This work includes meticulous hand work and strong attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters. * Hand polish molds * Ensure dimensions and surface finish are maintained * Use manual drill press * Fill out required production documents * Assemble molds * Test molds for leaks * Maintain clean/organized work area * Preform other duties as required.
Skills & Competencies: * Ability to work both independently and as a team. * Basic troubleshooting and problem solving. * Basic computer skills * Ability to read and comprehend basic English * Ability to follow instructions * Basic math skills * Ability to identify nonstandard situations and respond accordingly. * Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment * Able to work with and understand sensitive measuring equipment
Education & Experience: * High school degree or GED equivalence. * Experience die maintenance preferred. * Crane and forklift experience preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements: * Requires constant physical activity throughout shift such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. * Flexible work schedule as needed with adequate notification. * Always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment. * Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment.
