Job Description
AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT looking for Full -Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for our STATEN ISLAND Group home residences. We are seeking patient, understanding, and team oriented people to support people with I/DD in community participation, advocacy and building meaningful relationships.
DATE & TIME: THURSDAY NOVEMBER 5TH from 10AM-1PM
LOCATION: Recruiter will provide specific address to qualified candidates.

POSITIONS TO BE FILLED:
Full-Time 40hr Evening Shifts: 2pm-10pm...Drivers License Required.
Weekend availability needed for most positions!

Responsibilities:
* The oversight of all safety and health considerations
* Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies * Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs) * Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.
Qualifications
* Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred. * Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST! * Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings. * Ability to use a computer for data entry. * High school education/GED, highly preferred.
