About Caregentic

Caregentic builds AI infrastructure for continuous care operations. Our condition-agnostic platform runs the operating layer between clinical visits: it guides patients through care journeys, turns their conversations into structured clinical data written back into the EHR, and escalates the signals care teams need to act on. We work alongside Epic, Cerner, and Athena, not in place of them, and partner with health systems including Northwell Health and Endeavor Health. We are AI-native and human-first in how we build: our engineers work with AI coding agents every day, and people stay accountable for every decision that touches a patient.

About the Job

As a Senior Product Manager at Caregentic, you will own our product roadmap and turn priorities into clear, actionable work for engineering. You will build deep product knowledge, understand customer and user needs, write detailed requirements, and validate that delivered features meet expectations.

This is a senior individual contributor role with meaningful ownership of prioritization and delivery. Working with leadership, you will translate company goals into a practical roadmap and make day-to-day scope and priority decisions within agreed objectives and engineering capacity.

This role reports to the COO and works closely with the CEO and CTO. Product vision and long-range strategy sit with the CEO, CTO and COO. You own the rolling roadmap, the backlog, and the requirements that turn priorities into shipped work.

What You'll Do:

* Use AI, own the output. Use Claude and similar tools to draft, analyze, and pressure-test requirements, explore user flows, and build quick prototypes. Then personally review every epic for clarity, completeness, and acceptance criteria before it reaches engineering. * Own the roadmap and backlog both as standalone documents and as part of code repo in GitHub. Maintain near-term delivery priorities and longer-term direction, gather input, and communicate decisions, tradeoffs, and what is outside the current scope. * Write requirements for people and agents. Personally create and maintain product requirements (PRDs) in our GitHub repository, linked to Jira epics, covering frontend and backend behavior, user flows, and acceptance criteria, so engineers and the AI coding agents they work with share the same context. When scope changes mid-sprint, update the PRD first and make sure the engineering plan and tickets follow. * Keep delivery moving. Partner with engineering on backlog refinement and sprint planning, contribute actively to relevant stand-ups, and respond promptly to product questions throughout development. * Validate delivered work. Review functionality against requirements, identify gaps and bugs, and follow through with engineering on fixes and product acceptance before release. * Bring customer evidence into decisions. Speak with clients and users, synthesize feedback from commercial and delivery teams, and use relevant market and competitive insight to shape priorities. * Build the platform, not one-offs. Turn client requests into reusable, condition-agnostic capabilities and care journey templates. Balance customer value, business goals, risk, and effort, push back on hard-coded, client-specific logic, and escalate material exceptions to leadership. * Define clear workflows. Explain intended behavior in plain language and detail; create lightweight wireframes or prototypes where helpful; and collaborate with available design and engineering partners on usability. * Maintain product knowledge and documentation as standalone documents and as Github code repo artifacts. Keep requirements, decisions, and feature changes current. Help colleagues understand capabilities and coordinate documentation and release updates. * Translate constraints and learn from releases. Work with clinical, security, and compliance experts on product requirements. Define success measures and use adoption and user feedback to improve what ships. * Keep demos accurate. Own the content of our demo library (which care journeys we show and what each demo proves), working with engineering on the build. * Keep requirements traceable. Maintain a clear line from each requirement to its acceptance criteria, tests, and release, and put security and compliance checkpoints (such as SOC 2, TCPA, and future FDA work) on the roadmap so they never show up as surprises.

What You'll Need:

* 5+ years in software product management, or equivalent experience demonstrating independent ownership of roadmap priorities and delivery. * Strong hands-on requirements writing, including clear product specifications, acceptance criteria, and practical experience managing work in Jira or a comparable tool. * Proven experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or specialized product extensions) to drive efficiency across product development workflows, from early-stage ideation and feature scoping to lightweight prototyping and specification writing. * A track record of working closely with engineers to resolve ambiguity, make scope decisions, validate delivered functionality, and follow work through to completion. * Technical fluency to discuss frontend and backend behavior, integrations, data flows, and feasibility with engineering. Architecture and implementation decisions remain with engineering. * Experience gathering customer feedback and making prioritization decisions with incomplete information, including explaining decisions to both executives and engineers. * Experience with healthcare workflows and the ability to translate clinical, privacy, security, and compliance needs into product requirements with appropriate experts. * Practical UX judgment, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to organize your own work in an early-stage company with limited resources. * Experience working in an early-stage startup or similarly small, resource-constrained software team, with direct responsibility for both roadmap priorities and hands-on product delivery. * Comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, clinical and customer partners. * Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to earn trust quickly. * A builder’s mindset: you’d rather prototype and test an idea than debate it. * Mission alignment: a real drive to use technology to improve patient care.

Bonus Points For:

* B2B software for hospitals or health systems, including EHR integrations such as Epic. * Patient engagement, care management, workflow automation, or AI-enabled products. * Hands-on experience using AI assistants and advanced LLM skills (such as custom Claude projects or prompt engineering for product specs) to streamline day-to-day product management tasks. * Working with Github repos and working with product management repo artifacts. * Basic experience in using and running database queries to support analytics needs of the product. * Lightweight prototyping in Figma or with AI tools, and collaboration with product designers. * Experience with Healthcare integration standards such as HL7 and FHIR. * Experience taking a product through Series A to growth stage.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

* Engineering partnership: Ability to give engineering clear requirements and timely answers, and to set clear decision rights and a practical working rhythm with the team. * Roadmap ownership: Experience building and maintaining a shared, prioritized roadmap, and explaining the priorities and the reasons behind them so the team understands them. * Delivery discipline: A consistent approach to product acceptance and change communication, so that delivered features meet agreed acceptance criteria. * Customer-informed judgment: Comfort meeting customers and stakeholders, learning user workflows quickly, and using customer evidence to guide decisions. * A habit of continuous improvement: Learning from adoption and feedback after release, then refining the roadmap and process to match. * Pragmatic execution: Ability to take a priority improvement through the full delivery cycle at a pace that fits the scope of the work and the release cadence.

Benefits & Perks:

* Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision). * Flexible PTO with 20 vacation days and 5 sick days per year. * 401(k) retirement plan. * Fully remote work environment. * Top-tier development equipment. * The chance to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery.

Salary Range:

* We offer a competitive compensation package, including: * $140,000 - $165,000 base salary, depending on experience and alignment with role expectations. * Performance-based bonus. * Equity participation in the company.

Why Caregentic?

Healthcare teams shouldn’t have to wrestle with fragmented systems, duplicate data entry, or workflows that break when they need them most. Our unified platform uses AI to connect patient data, clinical protocols, and care coordination — surfacing insights and streamlining processes to create seamless experiences that improve outcomes while reducing administrative burden.

We believe the future of healthcare technology isn’t about replacing human judgment but amplifying it with intelligent automation. Every line of code we write and every model we deploy has one goal: helping healthcare professionals provide better care, more efficiently.

This is a rare opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that directly impacts patient care, alongside a team that moves fast, learns from real clinical feedback, and builds with purpose. We’re backed by top-tier health systems like Northwell Health, building hand-in-hand with clinicians and shipping into live care settings from day one.
