We’re excited to be expanding into Savannah, marking our first facility in the market. This new location represents a major milestone for Porter Logistics and offers a unique opportunity to help launch, shape, and grow operations from the ground up while being supported by an established, Atlanta-based organization.
Key Responsibilities * Own all outbound shipments for assigned clients and order streams * Oversee picking, staging, and final verification of outbound orders * Perform final quality checks to confirm order accuracy, quantities, and labeling * Ensure orders ship on the correct day using the correct carrier and service level * Complete and verify all outbound shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, labels) * Serve as the primary escalation point for outbound order issues or exceptions * Partner closely with Customer Success to resolve order discrepancies and client inquiries * Monitor and drive on-time shipping and outbound accuracy KPIs * Support value-added services as required (kitting, labeling, special packaging) * Operate forklifts and assist with picking/staging as needed * Enforce safety, process, and quality standards across outbound operations * Act as a floor leader, setting expectations and holding the team accountable
Qualifications * 3+ years of warehouse experience with a focus on outbound shipping operations * Prior lead or senior operator experience preferred * Strong understanding of shipping processes, carriers, and documentation * Forklift experience across multiple lift types * Experience working in a WMS environment * Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability * Strong communication skills and customer-first mindset * Positive, team-player mentality with a sense of urgency and ownership
