Location: Leesburg, VA Onsite
Shift: Night Team B- Alternating Wednesday's, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 7PM-7AM

The ideal candidate will have experience in a network security or SOC environment, a solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, and the ability to identify, document, and escalate security events in accordance with established procedures.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and analyze cybersecurity events using SOC tools. * Identify, investigate, and appropriately handle Events of Interest (EOIs). * Escalate cybersecurity events and incidents in accordance with established procedures. * Generate incident response documentation and reports. * Process incident-related communications, including initial notifications, follow-ups, requests for information, status updates, and resolution activities. * Document and track cybersecurity incidents through resolution. * Follow established security operations, incident response, and reporting procedures. * Collaborate with SOC and cybersecurity personnel to support timely resolution of security events.
Qualifications
* Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, network security, a SOC, or a related IT security environment. * Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; additional relevant experience may be substituted for education. * Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. * Experience with security monitoring, event analysis, incident handling, or related SOC functions. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. * Active Secret security clearance required.

Virginia Pay Range $70,000—$90,000 USD
