We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join the team at Charing Cross Hospital in London on a locum basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 therapist to provide specialist assessment and treatment for adult patients within an acute hospital setting.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing complex communication and swallowing difficulties, with specialist skills in voice therapy, dysphagia management, Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and videofluoroscopy.

This part-time position offers 22.5 hours per week across three flexible days, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start available. The initial placement is for three months, with the possibility of extension.

This role is ideal for a skilled and proactive therapist looking to apply their clinical expertise in a busy acute hospital environment while contributing to high-quality, patient-centred care.

* A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification. * Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). * Relevant experience working as an Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist, ideally at Band 7 level. * Clinical expertise in dysphagia and voice therapy. * Experience and competence in FEES and videofluoroscopy. * Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. * The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team. * A proactive, flexible and patient-focused approach to clinical practice.
