Schedule:
Part-time services at the David Adams Memorial Chapel, Naval Station Norfolk, Norfolk, VA. Schedule includes Sunday Protestant worship services, weekly rehearsals, special services, and memorial services.
Summary:
Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified Protestant Music Director / Musician to provide and coordinate worship music for Protestant religious services, rehearsals, and special events at Naval Station Norfolk.
Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience as a worship musician.
* Ability to perform as a pianist, guitarist, and vocalist.
* Experience with contemporary Christian worship music and traditional Christian hymns.
* Experience leading and coordinating vocalists, instrumentalists, praise teams, and other volunteer musicians.
* Ability to work effectively within a military chapel and pluralistic religious environment.
Duties:
* Provide and lead music for weekly Protestant worship services.
* Conduct and support weekly music rehearsals.
* Perform on piano, guitar, and provide vocal leadership as required.
* Coordinate worship music selections with the Protestant Chaplain.
* Direct and support volunteer vocalists, instrumentalists, praise team members, and other musicians.
* Provide music support for special services, memorial services, and other chapel events.
* Provide qualified substitute coverage when unavailable.
