About the role

What’s the role about?

As our Junior Garment Technologist, you’ll support the Technical team in maintaining the highest standards of fit, quality and construction across our collections. Working closely with Senior Garment Technologists, Design, Buying, Product Development and suppliers, you’ll assist with fit sessions, sample management, garment approvals and technical administration, helping to ensure our products meet the quality and fit expectations of the Reiss brand.

Who you are

* Passionate about fashion and garment construction, with an interest in fit, fabrics and technical product development. * Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. * A clear and confident communicator, comfortable building relationships with internal teams, customers and suppliers. * Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to identify issues and follow up on outstanding actions. * Computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and confidence using systems and handling data. * A collaborative team player who is keen to learn, develop technical knowledge and take ownership of their responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing

* Supporting fit sessions by preparing samples, measuring garments, identifying out-of-tolerance measurements and recording clear fit and construction comments. * Preparing and maintaining technical packs, adding sample measurements, updating specifications and sharing fit comments, photographs and diagrams with suppliers. * Managing fit and pre-shipment samples, tracking delivery dates, chasing suppliers and ensuring samples are reviewed and approved within critical path deadlines. * Checking pre-shipment samples across Mainline, Outlet and Atelier, reviewing fit, measurements, construction, testing, care labels and swing tags. * Maintaining fit lists, Vision and sample trackers, ensuring style approvals, deadlines and supplier updates are accurately recorded. * Supporting garment testing by reviewing base and bulk test reports, providing feedback and ensuring fabrics and construction meet the required standards. * Responding to customer, supplier and internal queries, attending supplier and QC calls, and supporting the resolution of garment quality issues. * Providing wider support to the Technical team through sample storage, store visits, seasonal reporting, returns analysis and the preparation of technical guidelines and manuals.

What we offer

* Competitive salary and company bonus. * Up to 65% employee discount. * Access to exclusive sample sales. * MetLife Virtual GP. * Medicash health support plan. * Workplace pension contributions. * Enhanced parental leave policies. * Electric Vehicle scheme via Octopus Energy. * Cycle to Work programme. * Season ticket travel loan. * Annual Leave purchase. * Access to additional Retail Discounts. * Plus, a range of further benefits, including salary sacrifice for tax savings.
