Trusted by some of the world’s leading technology companies, we deliver highly scalable, mission-critical solutions that power both consumer and business applications globally. OVERVIEW

Join a dynamic Lab Operations team as an Enterprise Systems Engineer, providing critical IT and systems support for multi-site R&D labs. You will ensure reliable lab infrastructure by managing device lifecycles, resolving network issues, and developing automations to optimize daily workflows. Expect to work closely with cross-functional partners to maintain secure, scalable, and efficient lab environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Oversee device lifecycle management: deploy, image, configure, and decommission lab hosts (Linux/Ubuntu/CentOS, Windows, macOS) across multiple labs and buildings. * Manage OS patching and security updates for lab devices to ensure ongoing compliance and reliability. * Serve as first-responder for lab network issues, troubleshooting connectivity, IP/DHCP, IPv6, and 802.1x authentication problems. * Coordinate with network infrastructure, patch management, and network security teams to escalate and resolve complex device issues across labs. * Provision and onboard new lab devices and networks, including registration, device health monitoring, and handling inactive-device alerts. * Manage certificate deployment and renewal on lab hosts, particularly for 802.1x authentication. * Build and maintain automations (primarily using Bash scripting) to streamline device registration, monitoring, and patching workflows. * Design and implement scalable virtual machine solutions (e.g., VMware, KVM, Proxmox, Hyper-V) for lab infrastructure expansion. * Support multiple lab teams and programs as a shared operational service, coordinating setup and troubleshooting across different sites. * Document lab systems, configurations, and standard operating procedures for cross-team accessibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience with relevant IT/networking certifications. * 8+ years’ experience in IT systems administration, lab operations, enterprise systems engineering, or similar technical support roles. * Proven hands-on expertise with administration and patching of Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS), Windows, and macOS systems. * Proficiency in Bash scripting and automation for systems administration tasks. * Demonstrated working knowledge of core networking concepts and protocols (DHCP, IP/IPv6, DNS, 802.1x authentication) to serve as triage and troubleshooting lead. * Experience deploying, imaging, and managing large fleets of lab or end-user devices. * Familiarity with device provisioning, registration, and certificate management workflows. * Strong documentation practices and ability to coordinate across multiple technical teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical discipline. * Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Red Hat/Linux credentials. * Experience architecting and deploying scalable VM infrastructure solutions (VMware, KVM, Proxmox, Hyper-V). * Familiarity with configuration management and fleet patching tools (Ansible, MDM, SCCM, Chef, Puppet, etc.). * Background supporting lab or test environments with diverse hardware and OS platforms.
