About the role

Job Description

Your mission: WIN NEW BUSINESS!

You will take ownership of new client acquisition in the European (bio)pharmaceutical market. Your primary goal is to build a strong pipeline, engage decisionmakers and win new contracts for our QC laboratory services. You combine disciplined prospecting with consultative selling and confidently drive opportunities from first contact through negotiation and contract signature.

* Identify, target and acquire new customers in the European (bio)pharmaceutical sector, with a focus on companies developing and manufacturing small and/or large molecules. * Build and execute a proactive account acquisition plan, including cold outreach, networking, referrals, industry events and strategic partnerships. * Create and maintain a healthy, qualified sales pipeline and take full ownership of opportunities from lead generation to closing. * Lead negotiations, overcome objections and close profitable contracts in line with commercial targets. * Represent SGS Pharma laboratory services at conventions, exhibitions, professional associations and targeted networking events. * Maintain accurate CRM data, opportunity stages, next actions and forecasts.

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful in this role?

* A bachelor’s or master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences or a related field. * At least 3 years of successful sales or business development experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally within laboratory, analytical, QC, CDMO/CRO or related services. * Good knowledge of regulatory QC requirements, including GMP and FDA expectations. * Consultative selling, negotiation and closing skills, combined with a strong focus on measurable commercial results. * You stay focused through long sales cycles and do not wait for opportunities to come to you. * An entrepreneurial and structured working style, with strong CRM discipline * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional European languages are an advantage.

This is a position for someone who wants to have a real impact on business growth. You will have the freedom to develop new markets and customers while being backed by experienced experts.

You can focus on building relationships, identifying opportunities and closing businesses, while working in a scientific environment where quality, expertise and reliability are key.
