Your role and tasks

We are looking for a newly graduated Cyber Security Project Engineer who is ready to begin a career within industrial cyber security and operational technology. You will join experienced colleagues and gradually take responsibility for designing, securing, testing, and maintaining technical solutions for critical infrastructure. The role gives you practical experience with system architecture based on the Purdue model, network troubleshooting, firewalls, switches, and secure-by-design principles. You will contribute to projects from engineering and documentation through testing, installation, and commissioning. You will also work closely with customers and colleagues across project management, supply chain, manufacturing, testing, and engineering.

Your responsibilities will include

* Supporting the design and hardening of system architectures according to the Purdue model. * Identifying and resolving network issues affecting operational technology equipment. * Configuring rules for firewalls and network switches with guidance from experienced colleagues. * Supporting updates and patching of installed systems while equipment remains in operation. * Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. * Preparing project documentation and updating engineering deliverables as built. * Participating in project and customer meetings to follow up on technical issues. * Using ABB engineering processes, checklists, and tools while sharing lessons learned with colleagues.

Qualifications for the role
