About the role
Job Description
* Prepare and record journal entries and perform account reconciliations to support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. * Maintain accounting records and supporting schedules for assigned corporate balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. * Support accounting and reporting for fixed assets, leases, debt, equity transactions, payroll and bonus accruals, contingent liabilities, and other corporate accounting activities. * Assist with accounting for acquisitions, including purchase accounting entries and post-acquisition balance sheet integration. * Prepare financial analyses and reconciliations to support management reporting, audits, and external financial reporting requirements. * Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Human Resources, Legal, and Operations, to ensure accurate and timely accounting. * Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits. * Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase the efficiency of the month-end close process. * Participate in special projects, system implementations, and other corporate finance initiatives as assigned. * Perform other accounting and financial reporting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. * 1-4 years of progressive accounting experience. * Public accounting or corporate accounting experience preferred. * Healthcare or multi-entity organization experience is a plus. * Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP. * Knowledge of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations. * Familiarity with lease accounting (ASC 842) preferred. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas. * Experience with ERP and financial management systems (NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Analytics, and Leasequery a plus) * Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location healthcare environment.
