Key Responsibilities
• Perform asphalt testing to ensure compliance with federal, state, and client specifications. • Conduct standardized laboratory testing in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO standards. • Demonstrate knowledge of asphalt plant operations, processes, and equipment. • Perform analysis and quality control testing of asphalt materials. • Collect aggregate samples and perform required testing procedures. • Conduct density testing of asphalt pavements and document results accurately. • Maintain testing records and reports in accordance with project and ODOT requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required Certifications • ODOT Asphalt Concrete School Prequalification, Levels 1 and 2 • ODOT Aggregate Certification, Levels 1 and 2 • ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician Certification
Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience supporting ODOT construction projects. • Strong understanding of ODOT specifications and quality assurance procedures. • Effective communication and documentation skills. • Ability to work outdoors and travel to project sites as needed.
