Avenues: The World School New York is seeking caring, dependable educators to join our Small World Extended Day Program, to work with our two-year-old students. This is an excellent opportunity for educators, graduate students in early childhood education, or experienced preschool teachers seeking part-time afternoon work.
The Opportunity
We are hiring educators to provide a warm, engaging after-school experience for our youngest learners in a collaborative, play-based environment.
Positions Available
* Teacher Group Leader – $105 per day ($42 hourly rate based on 2.5 hour shift) * Teacher – $90 per day ($36 hourly rate based on 2.5 hours shifts)
Schedule
* Monday–Friday, 3:00–5:30 p.m. * Candidates may work 2–5 afternoons per week following consistent schedule * Positions are available by semester or for the full academic year.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
* Experience working with young children in a school or licensed early childhood setting is required. * Candidates must meet New York City Department of Health (DOH) requirements to work in a licensed early childhood program. * Required DOH training and certifications can be completed remotely prior to the start of employment.
