About the role

Job Description

We’re looking for compassionate and reliable people to join our friendly team as a Live in Care Professional at Home Instead West Lancashire, Chorley & Wigan

Location: West Lancashire, Chorley & Wigan

Pay: £130 per day

Home Instead West Lancashire, Chorley & Wigan is a local, family-run provider of high-quality adult social care services, enabling adults and older people to live life their way — safely, independently, and with dignity in the comfort of their own homes.

In 2015, we proudly became one of the first three home care providers in England to be rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, and the first in the North West. We have since achieved a double ‘Outstanding’ rating across four of the five key lines of enquiry, with the fifth rated ‘Good’, and we are delighted to have retained our ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating for over 10 years.

Why you should work for us:

* Competitive pay rate, £130 per day based on a 10-hour shift * A paid day off for your birthday * Holiday pay - accrued throughout your placements * Daily meal budget * Company Pension scheme * Ongoing training * Weekly wellbeing check-ins and a dedicated key contact * Employee Assistance Programme - confidential support whenever you need * A friendly, inclusive, and people-first culture * Pension scheme available

What You’ll Do

As a Live-in Care Professional, you'll move into a client's home and provide continuous, personalised support - enabling them to live life on their own terms. No two clients are the same, and no two days are identical, but your focus will always be on helping your client feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.

Day to day, this can include:

* Delivering your client's personalised care plan and supporting their health and wellbeing goals * Managing meals, medication, personal care and hygiene with sensitivity and respect * Providing companionship and meaningful conversation - being present, not just present * Maintaining a warm, professional relationship with your client's family and the wider care team * Keeping your client's home comfortable and helping them stay connected to the life they enjoy

What We’re Looking For

* A kind, caring and patient nature * Reliable and trustworthy * A full UK driving license and reliable means of transport

If you have any questions or would like further information about the role, please APPLY now, and we will be happy to arrange a confidential phone call at a time that suits you.
