Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:
* Officers must be attentive, approachable, and capable of enforcing policies while delivering excellent customer service to guests, staff, and vendors. * This is a high-visibility, physically demanding, customer-facing role in a fast-paced public environment. * Maintain clear, accurate administrative logs at front desk pertaining to people or property including packages. * Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required * Enforce museum rules and policies in a professional, customer-service-oriented manner * Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment * Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management * Provide a visible security presence throughout the museum * Rotate between assigned posts as needed
Required Qualifications of Security Officers:
* Must be at least 21 years of age. * Must be able to work all shifts. * 1 year of security, customer service, or public-facing experience preferred * High School diploma or general education degree (GED) * Able to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), including state accredited training requirements * Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. * Able to read, write, speak, and understand English * Willingness to work all posts and flexible schedules * Experience in museums, hospitals, retail centers, or high-traffic public venues * Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs., completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
Preferred Qualifications of Security Officers: • Bi-lingual considered a plus. • Evening, overnight, and weekend availability required
