Job Description
* Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure safety and security * Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems * Control access to buildings by checking identification and issuing visitor badges * Observe and report suspicious activities or security breaches * Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire alarms, or disturbances * Write detailed daily activity and incident reports * Enforce company policies, rules, and regulations * Provide assistance and directions to visitors and staff * Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary * May work indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions * Flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays * May require long periods of standing or walking
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent (required) * Valid security guard license (as required by state/local law) * Previous security experience preferred but not always required * Strong observational and communication skills * Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations * Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response * Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
