Job Summary The Iron Worker is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron and steel erection and completing the tasks in a timely, quality manner while maintaining safety and productivity.
Essential Job Responsibilities
* Assist in work area layout, assembly, and installation of structural steel. May include taking measurements, assisting with setting up rigging, unloading, and shaking out material. * Install safety lines and posts. * Clean work area and assist in keeping it safe.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
* GED or High School Diploma. * TWIC Card and/or Real ID are required. * Ability to work at heights in various weather conditions. * Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds.
Preferred:
* Capable of performing physically demanding tasks during long shifts. * Skilled in math which includes adding and subtracting fractions. * Must have a valid driver's license. * Must pass a background check and do a drug screening.

Work Environment:
* Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures. * Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment. * Repairing overhead bridge crane runway systems. * Limited working surfaces. * Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors. * Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
