As Superintendent, you will provide overall leadership to the onsite construction team, ensuring high-quality project delivery that meets schedule, budget, and design goals. This role involves projects of varying size and complexity.
Key Responsibilities: * Plan, monitor, and track critical path dates and milestone schedules * Lead weekly foreman meetings and develop agendas * Define and review expectations for subcontractors, including day-to-day scheduling * Supervise Iconica's carpenters and laborers as needed * Coordinate with the field team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment * Collaborate with surveyors and foremen to establish benchmarks, shoot grades, and verify dimensional control * Maintain daily project documentation, including logs, photographs, and as-built drawings * Ensure all team members and subcontractors work safely and in compliance with regulations * Conduct weekly safety inspections and document findings * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors * Perform carpentry and general construction work as needed
Qualifications & Background: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or four years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree) * Minimum of five years of direct commercial construction experience in a superintendent role * Experience leading both ground-up construction and complex renovation projects, including work in occupied spaces * Design-build experience preferred * Extensive knowledge of construction methods, carpentry equipment, and power tools * Ability to read, interpret, and review plans, shop drawings, and specifications * Strong understanding of jobsite safety procedures * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel); Procore experience is a plus * Excellent time management and organizational skills * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others * Demonstrated initiative and a commitment to continuous learning * Valid driver's license preferred
