About the role
About the Role
Join an early-stage agricultural technology team building AI tools to make sense of crop, soil, weather, and farm operations data. As one of the first engineers, you will take on open-ended technical challenges and help shape the product and engineering culture.
What You'll Do
* Build data pipelines that bring together farm data from sensors, satellite and drone imagery, weather sources, and agronomic records.
* Train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models and the infrastructure that supports them.
* Put product in front of growers, observe how they use it, and rapidly iterate based on feedback.
* Help select the technical stack, establish engineering practices, and grow the team.
What We're Looking For
* Roughly 0 to 4 years of professional experience, or equivalent evidence of strong building ability.
* Strong coding skills in Python and/or TypeScript, with the flexibility to work across the stack.
* A track record of shipping projects end to end, such as personal projects, research, open source work, or startup products.
* Persistence in tackling difficult technical or personal challenges.
* Curiosity about AI and real-world systems; prior agriculture experience is not required.
* Experience with machine learning, computer vision, time-series data, or geospatial tools is a plus.
* Background in agriculture, climate, food, hard tech, or an early-stage startup is a plus.
