The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $82,000 - $166,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
Skilled software developer to create software application functionality and configuration using commercial development tools and applications based on customer and / or project performance, design, and testing requirements.
What You Will do in This Role:
* Create elegant solutions for some of the most complex material handling and logistics projects in the world. * Deliver large, impactful, and meaningful enterprise projects while working in a small, nimble, and flexible start-up environment. * Collaborate with highly cross-functional, Agile teams to build out new customer features and functionality. * Develop high-quality code and unit tests. * Play a critical role in system design, architecture, and execution. * Works independently and within a team with little required coaching. * Coaches and mentors lesser experienced developers. * Supports and improve internal processes to make code deployment easier, faster and more consistent. * Ability to break down tasks into work packets. * Collaborate to troubleshoot and solve complex problems across integrated software and mechatronic systems. * Continually improving skill level through certifications and training. * Travel across North America to customer sites to validate system functionality and testing (approximately 20%).
What We are Looking For:
* BS - Computer Science (or other Engineering Degree) * 5+ Years software development experience. * 1+ Years automation or material handling industry experience. * Advanced knowledge in minimum of 2 object-oriented languages, including Java EE * Proficient in at least 1 other language. * Intermediate knowledge of at least 2 operating systems. * 2 industry standard certifications.
Location & Authorization: This is a hybrid role requiring proximity to one of our U.S. offices (Grand Rapids, MI; Atlanta, GA, Milwaukee WI, Plano TX). Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
