Location: Camp Lejeune, North Carolina Facility: Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune Department: Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday Hours: 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM No Weekends, Federal Holidays, or On-Call Requirements

Position Overview

MDPerm is seeking a Certified Addictions Counselor to support the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

The specialist will support substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment services for military healthcare beneficiaries, working alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a military medical treatment facility.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide substance abuse and chemical dependency counseling services within the scope of professional qualifications and assigned responsibilities.

* Support patient care and rehabilitation activities within the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and clinic activities.

* Participate in applicable Family Advocacy Program activities, including documentation and reporting.

* Provide in-service education and training to clinic staff as directed.

* Maintain compliance with applicable military treatment facility policies, patient confidentiality standards, and healthcare regulations.

* Exercise appropriate clinical judgment and awareness of legal and patient safety considerations.

Minimum Qualifications

Education – Must meet one of the following:

* Possess an Associate of Arts degree in a behavioral science with specialized training in substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment.

OR

* Have completed a Military Department Drug and Alcohol Program Management Activity School leading to Military Department Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor.

Certification

* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Online-only certification is not accepted.

* Additional addiction counseling certification requirements are subject to the applicable contract standards.

Additional Requirements

* U.S. citizenship required.

* Ability to successfully complete military installation security screening and credentialing requirements.

Work Schedule

* Monday through Friday

* Full-time, 40 hours per week

* 8.5-hour scheduled shifts, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break

* Shifts scheduled within the 6:00 AM–8:00 PM operating window

* No federally recognized holidays

* No on-call requirements
