Our Finance Core Platform is at the heart of this ecosystem, ensuring high performance, scalability, and absolute precision for every single booking made on our platforms.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Finance Core Platform team in Chiasso, building robust, high-throughput microservices that power our core financial flows.

As a Software Engineer in the Finance Core Platform team, you will design and implement the resilient infrastructure and microservices that handle critical financial data across the entire traveler journey. Working in a hybrid setup from Chiasso, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to solve complex technical and transactional challenges.

What your impact will be
You will proactively design, develop, and maintain high-quality software for our core financial platforms, ensuring resilience, performance, and scalability across all global transactions.
Technical Delivery & Architecture
* Design, write, and test high-quality software using modern engineering practices such as TDD, DDD, Clean Code, and SOLID principles. * Create resilient, secure, and performant applications capable of handling millions of requests per day, directly impacting the core financial engine of the company. * Collaborate with architects to define optimal technical solutions, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure for new financial features, focusing heavily on CI/CD pipelines.
Ownership & Collaboration
* Take full ownership of delivery quality, system performance, reliability, and scalability across the Finance Core Platform. * Proactively leverage your technical expertise to solve complex domain issues while deeply understanding core business and financial requirements. * Contribute positively to the team’s technical growth by sharing knowledge, conducting pair programming, and mentoring peer engineers. * Influence and guide engineers across the broader product engineering department, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Essential
* Programming Expertise: Strong hands-on experience as a Software Engineer using OO/FP languages, with a focus on the JVM ecosystem (Java or Kotlin). * Core Engineering Standards: Solid background working with Clean Code, SOLID principles, TDD/DDD, and an Agile mindset. * Frameworks: Proven experience with the Spring / Spring Boot ecosystem. * Analytical & Business Acumen: Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and translate complex business/financial needs into technical solutions. * Mindset & Communication: Growth mindset, positive and collaborative attitude, and full fluency in written and spoken English.
Desirable
* Experience in product-centric technology companies or fast-paced startup environments. * Hands-on experience with Extreme Programming (XP) practices. * Cloud experience with AWS Cloud Services. * Expertise in building and maintaining Microservices and containerized environments using Kubernetes. * Experience with asynchronous messaging architectures and queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
